Club Physio Plus
1st Edition Newsletter

We hope this newsletter finds you and your family healthy in 2009.

This is our first newsletter, that we are hoping to make a reagular occurence to keep you up to date on the latest changes in the therapeutic field.

The clinic has now been in the Ontario Racquet Club since 1994, and our experienced therapists have been along for the ride. We have had no changes in our therapy staff over the years, which is great in case you wanted to re-visit the same therapist you saw years ago.

Since the last time you were in the clinic, we have had some new and exciting things happening at Club Physio Plus that we wanted to let you know about.

"NEW" NORTH MISSISSAUGA CLINIC

In 2008, we added another clinic to our Club Physio team. In May, we opened a new practice in North Mississauga at a high performance centre called Endure Sports (403 and Winston Churchill area)

This has been a great addition to our already busy ORC practice. We have recently hired an incredble sports physiotherapist,Vanessa Mirabelli who brings over 20 years experience to our team. She has joined one of our Athletic Therapists Melissa Savage who also brings with her a vast knowledge of all sports injuries.

Our head athletic therapist, Russell Gunner is also treating up at the new clinic one night a week.

For more information about the new clinic or you would like to book an appointment, please call the Endure clinic at (905) 593-2987.

COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE

Want to look younger without the fear of Botox/ Chemicals or Plastic Surgery?

Our chiropractor, Dr. Karol Bujak is now performing cosmetic acupuncture at Club Physio Plus.

Benefits of Cosmetic Acupuncture:
• eliminates or minimizes/softens fine lines and wrinkles
• tightens pores and overall skin of the face
• eliminates sagging skin under the eyes and jaw/chin
• eliminates dark circles and puffiness creating brighter eyes
• improves facial colour giving the skin a glowing refreshed look
• clears up congestion to prevent acne ‘break-outs’
• clears or reduces age spots
• decreases stress, and muscle tension in the face

Most extended health insurance plans will partially cover the cost of treatments under either chiropractor or acupuncture.

THE NEW WARM-UP:
DYNAMIC STRETCHING

We have all heard that warming up and stretching before you play a sport will prevent injuries. People have tried for years to prove a correlation between stretching before an activity and the prevention of Russell Gunner injury it may offer. They have been unsuccessful, however. There has been no scientific proof that stretching before an aerobic activity will alleviate the chances of sustaining that year-ending injury. For the rest of this article, click here.

Russell Gunner has now been writing for the CBC.ca Health Watch website for the past year.

We hope you have a great 2009, and if you need us for any reason, please do not hesistate to give us a call at the ORC clinic (905) 822-1823 or the NEW Endure clinic (905) 593-2987.
